For windows supplied through the program, Hybrid Windows waives its normal manufacturing margin. You pay for the materials and direct production costs — we provide the manufacturing capacity without our usual profit.

Places are strictly limited each week and applications are assessed on eligibility, project requirements, and available production capacity. If replacing your windows has been financially out of reach, we'd like to hear from you.

World-class automated manufacturing, now in Perth

For windows supplied through the Community Support Program, Hybrid Windows waives its normal manufacturing margin. You pay for the materials and direct production costs, while we allocate part of our manufacturing capacity to the program without our usual profit margin.

Thanks to our world-class CNC-automated production technology — the type of advanced manufacturing equipment commonly found in large UK and European window fabrication plants — this level of automation is now available right here in Perth.

Our automated production allows us to manufacture a high volume of windows accurately and efficiently in a relatively short period of time. By allocating selected periods of available machine capacity to the Community Support Program, we can significantly reduce the manufacturing cost of eligible windows and pass those savings directly to participating Perth households.

Complete uPVC windows can be imported from overseas, including Europe, the UK and Asia, where labour, manufacturing and overhead costs can be significantly lower than in Australia. However, if imported windows are made from profiles described as "tropical," "hot-climate" or "UV-resistant," this does not, by itself, demonstrate compliance with the Australian uPVC Window Profiles Industry Code of Practice (ICP).

There is a reason for this — Australia has extremely harsh UV conditions. Some "tropical" formulations may perform well in hot climates such as California or the UAE, but without Australian-specific testing there is no assurance that they will withstand Australia's harsh UV exposure over the long term — and they may eventually lose the battle against Australia's extreme UV conditions.

Imported windows can and should be tested locally in Australia. There is no doubt about that.

Hybrid Windows uses aluplast profiles that are listed on the Australian ICP register, including IDEAL 2000 and IDEAL 4000, giving customers independent verification that these profile systems have been tested for Australia's demanding UV conditions. The current accreditation listed by the uPVC Windows Alliance runs to 17 August 2027.
